[Released Aug 19, 2026] SwitchBot AI MindClip
The AI MindClip is a 16.8g recorder that organizes what you record down to the next action
You think you will remember what was said in a meeting or a hallway chat, but it slips away. The AI MindClip has AI transcribe, summarize and sort what you record into to-dos.
It weighs about 16.8g and clips on like an accessory. You start and stop recording yourself with a slide switch on the body.
As an IT consultant (SE), I read the footnote before the headline number. For this recorder, the footnote is the monthly transcription time. The free plan is up to 300 minutes.
How I judged it
First, the monthly plan. The free Starter plan gives 300 minutes. A 15-minute meeting recorded on 20 days a month fits right in at 300 minutes (15 × 20).
Next, the cost if you go over. Premium is JPY 1,980 a month or JPY 15,980 a year for 1,200 minutes. With the JPY 19,980 device, the first year is JPY 35,960 (19,980 + 15,980).
If you can't decide and record up to 5 hours a month, take the AI MindClip. The reason: JPY 19,980 buys 16.8g and a 20-hour battery, with no monthly fee within the free quota.
