Choose an AI voice recorder by weight, battery and the transcription subscription. The iFLYTEK P1 (Jun 12, 2026) costs JPY 19,800, weighs about 22.5g and records up to 25 hours, with about 700 hours of storage. The SwitchBot AI MindClip costs JPY 19,980.

Key points

  • Release order: Soundcore Work (preorders from Feb 18, 2026), iFLYTEK P1 (Jun 12), SwitchBot AI MindClip (Aug 19), Notta Memo Pro (Oct 13)
  • Per-charge recording: iFLYTEK P1 up to 25 hours, SwitchBot up to 20 hours, Soundcore Work up to 8 hours on the mic alone (up to 32 with the case)
  • SwitchBot is free up to 300 minutes a month. If you go past that, adding Premium at JPY 15,980 a year makes JPY 35,960 for the first year (19,980 + 15,980)

Which AI voice recorder? Battery and the monthly plan decide it

An AI voice recorder records, then has AI transcribe and summarize. It makes meeting notes easier, but to keep using it you also need to look at the monthly quota, not just the price of the device.

As an IT consultant (SE), I read the footnote before the headline number. So the table separates recording time on the device alone from recording time with the case.

Four models from 2026. The short answer: iFLYTEK P1 for battery and storage, SwitchBot AI MindClip for a plan that is easy to read.

Three yardsticks: battery, weight, how clear the plan is

YardstickWinnerWhy
Per-charge batteryiFLYTEK P1Up to 25 hours, 5 hours more than the SwitchBot's 20 (25%)
WeightSoundcore WorkAbout 10g for the mic itself, about 48g with the case
Clear planSwitchBot AI MindClipThe free 300 minutes a month and the paid plan prices are in the release
Picked by me per yardstick from the makers' press releases. 25% = 5 ÷ 20. The Soundcore Work weight is the mic alone.

As recording hours per gram, the SwitchBot gives about 1.19 (20 ÷ 16.8) and the iFLYTEK P1 about 1.11 (25 ÷ 22.5). These two balance weight and battery most closely.

Manufacturer announcements as of Oct 26, 2026. Recording times are the makers' test conditions. iFLYTEK also sells the three-mic P1 Pro (JPY 29,800).

You clip the Soundcore Work's mic to a collar and charge it in a card-shaped case. It is IPX4 splash-resistant, and Anker says it transcribes over 150 languages.

iFLYTEK P1: 25 hours and about 700 hours of storage for JPY 19,800

Released Jun 12, 2026, this is a small AI voice recorder at about 22.5g. Five minutes of charging gives about 2 hours of recording, and standby lasts up to 85 days.

It switches between directional and omnidirectional recording, and handles real-time transcription and two-way translation in 11 languages. The AI summarizes the full transcript. The three-mic upgrade is the JPY 29,800 P1 Pro.
