[Preorders opened Feb 18, 2026] Anker Soundcore Work
The Soundcore Work is a recorder with a mic of about 10g that stays clipped on your collar
When you place a recorder on a meeting table, voices sound far away. The Soundcore Work lets you clip the mic to a collar or neckline and record near your mouth.
The mic weighs about 10g, which Anker describes as among the smallest and lightest in the world (its own survey, as of January 2026). Pressing the button on the mic's side starts recording.
As an IT consultant (SE), I read the footnote before the headline number. I read battery time for the mic alone and with the case separately.
How I judged it
First, weight. The mic is about 10g, or about 48g with the case. Next to the iFLYTEK P1's 22.5g, the mic alone is less than half (10 ÷ 22.5 = 0.44).
Next, battery. 8 hours on the mic and up to 32 with the card-shaped case. For an 8-hour meeting, the mic alone is enough. That is 0.8 hours per gram (8 ÷ 10).
If you can't decide, take the Soundcore Work. The reason: a 10g body, IPX4 splash resistance, and a battery that stretches to 32 hours with the case.

The Soundcore Work is strong on lightness and language range, the P1 on battery and storage. To wear it, take the 10g-mic Work. To record all day with one unit, take the P1.
Strengths and things to note
Strengths
Light, and close to your mouth. A 10g mic clipped to a collar records your voice from nearby.
The case extends the battery. The card-shaped case stretches use to 32 hours.
Things to note
The mic alone lasts 8 hours, so a long day needs the case's charge. JPY 24,990 is higher than the iFLYTEK P1 or the SwitchBot AI MindClip. Get the other person's consent before recording.
Who is it for?
People who want to record voices close up in interviews and business talks. People looking for a light, discreet recorder. It also suits anyone who wants transcription in other languages.
If you want long recording on one charge, the 25-hour iFLYTEK P1 is another way to choose.
Price and where to buy
Sold at Anker's official Rakuten store and others, which shows JPY 26,990. Over a year, that is about JPY 68 to 74 a day (24,990 to 26,990 ÷ 365).
If you can't decide, take the Soundcore Work. The reason: a 10g body, IPX4 and a 32-hour battery with the case.
