The PRO X2 RAPID is a magnetic keyboard with adjustable actuation depth
The PRO X2 RAPID is a wired keyboard in the Logitech G "PRO" series that went on sale Oct 15, 2026. A mouse and a headset came out the same day.
A magnetic analog switch reads how far you press a key as a continuous value. That lets you change the depth where it fires, and use rapid trigger, which cuts input as soon as you lift a finger slightly.
As a desk-setup nerd, I think a keyboard's numbers come down to millimeters and hertz. This article reads both as formulas.
How I judged it
First, how fast it reports. Up to 8,000Hz sends the key state 8,000 times a second. The interval is 0.125ms (1 / 8,000 s), one eighth of the 1ms at 1,000Hz.
Next, how easy it is to change the response. Every key is magnetic, and you can change the actuation point on the OLED and roller. You can tune it on the board without installing software.
It weighs 1,075g, 195g more than the G316 X 98's 880g (1,075 - 880), a gap of about 22% (195 / 880). A heavier board is less likely to slide on the desk while you type.
If you can't decide, take the PRO X2 RAPID. The reason: magnetic switches on every key, 8,000Hz and rapid trigger for JPY 35,750 direct.

Strengths and things to note
Strengths
Adjustable actuation depth. Magnetic analog switches let you set the actuation point yourself.
8,000Hz. The report interval is 0.125ms, one eighth of 1,000Hz.
Tune it without software. The OLED and roller change settings on the board itself.
Things to note
It weighs 1,075g, 195g more than the G316 X 98. It is wired only, with a 180cm cable. Being tenkeyless, number-heavy work means adding a separate numpad.
Who is it for?
People who want to set their own actuation depth in competitive games. People who want input cut the moment they lift a finger slightly in FPS or rhythm games.
If quiet and wireless come first, the Alto Keys K98M is another way to choose.
Price and where to buy
JPY 35,750 tax included in Logicool's direct store, also sold in Logicool's official Rakuten Ichiba store. Over a year, that is about JPY 98 a day (35,750 / 365).
If you can't decide, take the PRO X2 RAPID. The reason: magnetic switches on every key, 8,000Hz and rapid trigger for JPY 35,750 direct.
