The Roomba Mini Slim is a small robot that vacuums and mops floors. It went on sale Apr 6, 2026 at JPY 39,800 (tax included). The robot measures 24.5 x 24.5 x 9.2cm and weighs about 2.0kg, and the charging stand sets upright at 8.6cm deep and about 0.7kg. It is my pick for rooms with little space.

The Mini Slim is the Roomba Mini's body with a slimmer charging stand
The Mini Slim is a sibling of the Roomba Mini that iRobot put on sale Apr 6, 2026. The robot is the same size as the Roomba Mini; what changed is the dock.
Instead of a large base that collects dirt, it comes with a slim SlimCharge stand that sits upright. That is why it sells for JPY 39,800.
As a home-appliance nerd, I find that on small robot vacuums the difference is where you put it, not the robot. This article reads it as volume.
How I judged it
First, where it goes. The SlimCharge stand is 22.2 x 8.6 x 12.3cm, about 2,348cm3 (22.2 x 8.6 x 12.3). The Roomba Mini's charging station is 21.2 x 17.8 x 28.5cm, about 10,755cm3. That is about 78% smaller (1 - 2,348 / 10,755).
Weight differs too. The stand weighs about 0.7kg, about a third of the Roomba Mini's 2.03kg.
The price is JPY 10,000 lower, about 20% of the Roomba Mini (10,000 / 49,800). On the JPY 1,880 monthly rental, you reach the purchase price in about 21 months (39,800 / 1,880 = about 21.2).
If you can't decide, take the Mini Slim. The reason: same robot, a dock about 78% smaller, and JPY 10,000 less.

Things to note
The SlimCharge stand does not collect dirt, and you lift the robot off the stand by hand before cleaning. The Roomba Mini's AutoEmpty station is reported to go about 3 months without emptying by hand. It comes in 2 colors against the Roomba Mini's 4.
Who is it for?
People who gave up on robot vacuums because they had no space. People who want vacuuming and mopping in one unit for a studio or bedroom.
If cutting down on emptying is the goal, the Roomba Mini with AutoEmpty is another way to choose.
Price and where to buy
JPY 39,800 tax included, sold at iRobot's official Rakuten Ichiba store and others. Over a year, that is about JPY 109 a day (39,800 / 365).
