[Released May 8, 2026] Dreame F20 Plus
The F20 Plus empties itself, so you take out the dirt about three times a year
The F20 Plus is a robot vacuum Dreame put on sale May 8, 2026. For JPY 35,800 it comes with automatic dust collection.
It has 20,000Pa of suction and does both vacuuming and mopping. The mop uses a 280ml tank whose water flow is controlled by a sensor.
As a home-appliance nerd, I find that a robot vacuum's chore shows up in how often you empty it, not in the cleaning. This article reads it in that count.
How I judged it
First, the emptying chore. The dust bag is 4L, and you do not need to empty it for up to 120 days. Over a year that is about 3 emptyings (365 / 120 = about 3.0). The 120 days is Dreame's lab data, though, and depends on how dirty your home gets.
Next, the gap to the F20. The F20, out the same day, costs JPY 24,800 and has no auto-empty. The gap is JPY 11,000, about 44% of the F20 (11,000 / 24,800).
I also looked at edges. Dreame says the side-brush bristles are 6.8mm longer and reach up to 95% of the edge area.
If you can't decide, take the F20 Plus. The reason: 20,000Pa of suction and a 4L auto-empty for JPY 35,800.

How does it differ from the F20 and the Roomba Mini Slim?

The Roomba Mini Slim (JPY 39,800) costs JPY 4,000 more than the F20 Plus (39,800 - 35,800) and trades auto-empty for a slim upright charging stand. I wrote it up in the Roomba Mini Slim review.
Take the F20 Plus to be rid of emptying chores, and the Mini Slim for a smaller footprint.
Strengths and things to note
Strengths
About three emptyings a year. It collects into a 4L dust bag for up to 120 days.
20,000Pa of suction. One unit covers vacuuming and mopping.
Reaches the edges. Longer side-brush bristles (+6.8mm), with edge coverage up to 95%.
Things to note
The 120 days is Dreame's lab data and shortens with a dirtier home or different floors. The dust bag is a consumable, so replacements cost money. The auto-empty base needs more floor space than the F20.
Who is it for?
People who gave up on robot vacuums because emptying them was a chore. People who want vacuuming and mopping in one unit for under JPY 40,000.
If the lowest entry price comes first, the JPY 24,800 F20 from the same day is another way to choose.
Price and where to buy
The suggested retail price is JPY 35,800 tax included, sold at Dreame's Rakuten store and others. Over a year, that is about JPY 98 a day (35,800 / 365).
If you can't decide, take the F20 Plus. The reason: 20,000Pa of suction and a 4L auto-empty for JPY 35,800.
