The Belkin BPD018 is a 10,000mAh magnetic power bank that packs 15W Qi2 wireless charging and 30W USB-C into a 16.3mm, roughly 205g body. It went on sale in Japan on October 13, 2026 at JPY 10,990 including tax. If you want a battery that stays stuck to your iPhone and still fits in a pocket, this is my pick.

Key points

  • Released October 13, 2026 at JPY 10,990 (tax incl.), with a 2-year warranty
  • Qi2 wireless up to 15W (7.5W each with two or more devices); USB-C up to 30W (12W total with several connected)
  • 16.3mm thick and about 205g. 10,000mAh ÷ 205g is about 49mAh per gram

【New: Oct 13, 2026】The BPD018 delivers 15W from just 16.3mm

With a stick-on power bank, you usually choose between slim and fast wireless charging. The BPD018 gives you 15W Qi2 at 16.3mm thick.

It weighs about 205g, holds 10,000mAh and offers up to 30W over USB-C. A magnetic ring on the back lets you stack a magnetic wallet or phone grip.

As a software engineer, I read the conditions next to every "up to" before anything else. With this battery, the line that matters is how many watts you get with how many devices.

My verdict

I started with wireless output: 15W for one device, 7.5W each for two or more. If you carry it on one iPhone, you're always on the 15W side.

What gave me pause is that USB-C drops to 12W total when several devices are plugged in. I still recommend it, because wireless is the main job on the go and the cable is backup.

Can't decide? Get the BPD018. It keeps 15W at 16.3mm and 205g.

From Belkin's Japanese press release and official product page as of October 25, 2026. The 38.7Wh figure is from Belkin's UK product page.

At 38.7Wh, it sits below the 100Wh line commonly used for carry-on batteries. It also has overcharge, overcurrent, short-circuit and temperature protection.

How many phone charges is 10,000mAh?

10,000mAh is what's stored inside the cells. What reaches your phone is less, because of voltage conversion and heat. Wireless charging generally loses more to heat than a cable.

So the "number of charges" never matches simple division. Belkin claims up to 54 extra hours of use. On long days, switching to 30W USB-C gets more energy into your phone.

From Belkin's support page describing the two model numbers (Oct 25, 2026).

Both are slim 10,000mAh packs with a different back. Want to stand your phone on a desk? Go with the BPD016. Pocket carry? The BPD018.

What I like, and what to watch

What I like

15W at 205g. That's about 49mAh per gram (10,000 ÷ 205), and it stays pocketable while attached.

About JPY 1,099 per 1,000mAh. I worked it out as 10,990 ÷ 10. That price includes 15W Qi2 and a 2-year warranty.

What to watch

With three devices connected, wireless drops to 7.5W and USB-C to 12W total. It's not built to fast-charge a laptop.

Who is it for?

iPhone users who want a battery stuck on the back all day, commuters and business travelers trying to lighten their bag, and anyone stacking a magnetic wallet or grip.

If you want one battery to cover a laptop too, a higher-output model may suit you better.

Price and where to buy

The launch price of JPY 10,990 is the benchmark. On Rakuten Ichiba, Belkin's official store sells it. Over two years, that's about JPY 15 a day (10,990 ÷ 730 days).

Can't decide? Get the BPD018. It's a 10,000mAh pack that's both slim and 15W Qi2.
